University Mapping Implementation Team (UMapIT)

In August 2009, a University Mapping Implementation Team (UMapIT) was created to develop and execute a plan for implementation of the University Mapping Initiative (UMI) team recommendations.  In particular, the UMapIT team seeks to establish a coordinated but distributed virtual mapping office, consolidate existing base mapping resources, design an online self-service mapping portal for university personnel, and promote the availability of mapping and GIS resources across Grounds.  It is expected that the UMapIT team will complete its charge by July 2010.
