Office of Community Relations

The Community Relations Office links the University of Virginia to the community by engaging in numerous outreach efforts including those with:

  • Neighborhood associations
  • Area nonprofit organizations
  • Area businesses
  • K–12 schools
  • City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County representatives

A central responsibility of the office is running the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign, an annual fund drive that allows state employees to support the charities of their choice. Through the campaign, U.Va. employees generously supported more than 400 charities last year.
