The Marketing Office serves as a leader in message development and institutional positioning, working with Public Affairs staff and University leadership in formulating and implementing effective marketing and promotional strategies and gathering and interpreting marketing data for the University.
The Marketing Office is responsible for:- Overseeing market research, especially in the areas of prospective student research and alumni research.
- Shaping messages appropriate to those audiences' interests and in support of the University's strategic needs.
- Helping to develop a comprehensive communications program that will convey to internal and external constituencies the characteristics of quality, value, and academic excellence that embody U.Va.
- Advising on marketing and communication strategies for ongoing University-wide initiatives such as Admissions, AccessUVa and diversity.
- Overseeing identity management, monitoring University logo usage and creation University-wide.
