The conference will bring together students, faculty, and community partners to collaborate and share knowledge on service and community engagement within and beyond the University.

Registration is free!

Discussions will address topics such as:

connecting service with academics
the meaning of community engagement in Charlottesville
advice to get started in public service work
and more.

The conference is held in conjunction with this year’s Jefferson Public Citizens project presentations (April 13, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Newcomb Kaleidoscope Room) and Madison House’s Cavaliers Care (April 14, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.).

Flash Seminars

Flash seminars are partnering with the conference the week of April 9 - 13. These one-time classes will be on exciting topics that react and respond to the world around us and incorporate themes of the public service conference. In the interest of bringing people together in small, informal settings to explore ideas and issues outside the formal classroom, flash seminars are open to all students, faculty, staff and community members.
