CRT - Course Restrictions The course restrictions screen (CRT) is used to enter course restrictions for the following fields:
·
Academic Level - Level by completed credits (i.e., 0 - 29 credits earned
is academic level one, 30-59 is level 2, 60-89 is level 3, and 90+ is level
4). To restrict to a particular level, enter the number in this column.
·
School of Enrollment – Enter the code for a particular school (e.g., CLAS,
SED, LAW, etc.) in this column.
·
Major/Minor - Enter the four-digit IPEDS code for your department (e.g.,
enter 2207 to restrict to government majors and minors only).
·
Registration Type - Enter the three-character registration code found in
ISIS table 114 (i.e., enter *NE to restrict to regular new students only,
*TR for transfers).
·
Academic Year - Year by number of terms enrolled (i.e., two terms is academic
year one). To restrict to a particular year, enter the year number in this
column.
·
Special Scholar - Enter the one-character code found in ISIS table 230 (i.e.,
enter “a” to restrict to Air Force ROTC students only).
·
Permission of Instructor - Use this restriction sparingly, since you will
have to manually key Course Action forms for instructor permission courses.
If you enter a "y" in this column, every student taking the course
must submit a signed course action form, and be added via the RAD add/drop
function. ISIS will not allow web or telephone enrollment for a course restricted
to permission of instructor. Usually, if you use this restriction, you would
have no other restrictions on the course.
2.
Tab down and place “01” in the group code field.
3.
Tab to the field for which you want to add a restriction. Place the appropriate
numbers or letter in the field.
4.
To add a second set of restrictions, enter “02” in the next line’s group
code field and then the desired restrictions.
5.
When all restrictions have been entered press <PF6> to save the changes.
6.
Make sure the message “REQUEST SUCCESSFULLY UPDATED” appears on the message
line at the bottom of the screen. | |
