RAC - Advising code information


The RAC screen contains advisng code information.

To access the RAC function, type RAC from any screen within ISIS (it is not listed on any ISIS menu).  After entering a student ID number, term, and office, you will see the following information:

Priority time Code: This code is generated when the student’s term record is created.  Selected users may change this code to a code listed in table 291 for an emergency only.  The code is linked to ISIS release date and time.

Course selection begin date: This is a display-only field.  The date displayed is the earliest date that a student may call ISIS, the voice response system, to enter course enrollment.  This information can only be changed by entering a new priority time code from table 291.

Course selection begin time: This is a display-only field.  The time displayed is the earliest date that a student may call ISIS, the voice response system, to enter course enrollment.  This information can only be changed by entering a new priority time code from table 291.

Advisor clearance flag: If this feld is blank, it indicates - for undergraduate students - the student has not yet performed course enrollments on ISIS. If a Y” is displayed in this field, it indicates for undergraduate students the student has successfully entered the course enrollment portion of ISIS.  Please refer to the online help screen for more information regarding the advisor clearance flag.

Advisor clearance number: A randomly generated five digit number unique to each student. Undergraduates and engineering graduate students must get this code from their advisors before accessing the online course enrollment feature in ISIS.


You will use this screen when either you or the student loses an advising card.  You can look up the date, time, and advising code for the student.
