Changes Relating to Final Registration
Effective August 1, 2006 students (except Law, Medicine and Darden) who do not
have any type of registration block* and who are enrolled in one or more credits
will no longer be required to perform "Final Registration" via ISIS Online
(Law, Medicine and Darden students will be checked only for blocks). Students
who meet these criteria will be automatically 'final registered' by the University
each evening (i.e. their registration status will be set to 'H' [here]). This
process
will begin two days before what we now know as the final registration period
and will continue until the end of the final registration period: August 14
through August 25.
Two steps currently tied to the online final registration process also will be
eliminated in an effort to improve the ISIS online experience:
- Students will not be presented with the screens that contain their address and phone number information.
- Graduate non-professional students will no longer be asked if they are degree candidates.
ISIS online will no longer have a "Final Registration" menu item. For those
students who clear a block during the business day, a final registration page
will be presented to them when they use ISIS online to enroll for courses.
Those students will not have to wait for
the evening process to change their registration status to an 'H'. Students who
do not return to ISIS Online after a block is removed will be automatically
'final registered' that evening. Students who do not clear their blocks by
August 25 will not be final registered and, as is the
process today, they will be dropped from all of their fall 2006 classes.
* A registration block may be placed by the International Studies Office, Student Financial Services, Student Health, the Office of Admission, the Dean of Students Office, or the student's School of Enrollment.
