Faculty & Staff Access to ISIS

ISIS - Integrated Student Information System

UVA employees with a legitimate educational need to review student information may request access to ISIS through the following steps:

• Completion of Information Technology Security Awareness training test
• Print, read, and sign the Electronic Access Agreement and attach with the request for access form to your Data Security Contact
• Request an account on the Administrative Mainframe in ITC.
  • Academic Offices: Print the Request for Access to ITC Mainframe form, ask your supervisor to sign it, and return the form to Debra Shiflett at the address/fax printed on the bottom of the form
  • Non-Academic offices: Make a request to your Data Security Contact
• If you do not have Host Explorer TN3270 software installed on your computer, download it from ITC Software Central.
• If you do not have the VPN software installed on your computer, download it from the 'Installing VPN for Use at UVa' webpage.
  • If you do not already have a VPN account, after you have been informed that your ISIS access has been approved, request a VPN account using the instructions posted here.
• Attend an ISIS training session. Training is offered on an individual basis. The ISIS trainer will contact you after your access has been approved to set up a training time.
