Focuses on policy development and implementation at the
local level. The formal responsibility for local policy rests
with the School Board, however, policy decisions are also made
daily at the central office and school levels by administrators
and teachers. The purpose of this course is to provide opportunities
for the analysis of policies developed and implemented at the
local school division level.

Evaluation and development of educational personnel is
a major responsibility of school administration. This course provides
students with a conceptual framework for staff development and
evaluation. It also facilitates and enhances student skill in

selection, and staff development are discussed.

frameworks will inform and guide discussions.

Designed as a capstone experience for interns in school
leadership programs, the Exit Seminar provides opportunities to
reflect on administrative practice and integrate and apply course
learnings to the resolution of these problems. The Exit Seminar

Leadership; Review and Application of Key Readings; and Career
Planning.
