[1]  Students entering after September 1988 will receive six credits corresponding to the lecture courses CHEM 141, 142 and those entering after September 1990 will receive six credits corresponding to the lecture courses BIOL 201, 202. (These students may, if they wish, take the laboratory courses BIOL 201L, 202L and CHEM 141L, 142L for credit.)

[2]  Credit may be given for the laboratory courses if proof is presented that a rigorous laboratory course was taken in high school.

[3]  If students take the English Language and English Literature tests, they may receive credit for only one test, not both.

[4]  Students receive three of these six credits for a 300-level course in Latin. Consult department for specific information.

[5]  To receive credit for PHYS 241E, students must earn 4 or 5 on the Mechanics portion of the test in addition to 4 or 5 on the Electricity and Magnetism portion.

[6]  Permission of Spanish department language coordinator is required.
