University and Federal Grants

Disbursement Procedures   University and federal grants are awarded for an academic year (unless otherwise specified), one-half of the award being available each semester. All awards are automatically applied first to the payment of tuition, fees, room rent, and meal plans. You can also sign up for direct deposit to your bank account. After all deductions have been made, any remaining balance will be mailed to you from the Office of the Bursar, Carruthers Hall, or deposited to your account, if you have so requested.

If you do not complete the semester, a grant award will be prorated and the unused portion cancelled.

Student's Responsibility   If you are expecting a refund after your financial aid has been credited to your account and you do not receive it, contact the Office of the Bursar.

Payment Inquiries   All inquiries regarding semester bills and balance-of-award checks should be made at the Office of the Bursar, Carruthers Hall (924-4265).
