UREG (Office of the University Registrar) will be closed Thursday, July 4th. All transcripts will be processed Friday, July 5th, and mailed Monday, July 8th.
Transcript Information
-- Current & Former Students (Post 1995)
The University of Virginia has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to be the official provider of transcripts. Transcripts may be requested 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Online transcript requests submitted on the weekends or while the University is closed will be processed in the order received when the University re-opens.
Before Requesting Your Transcript
Transcripts requested prior to the official date of graduation will not include your degree.
Please wait until after your degree has been posted to SIS to order your transcript if you want to have your degree conferral information noted.
Transcript requests cannot be held for pending grades and/or degree conferral information.
Login to the SIS Portal with your NetBadge access to:

You may view your academic information on the unofficial transcript prior to ordering the official transcript.
Login to the SIS Portal with your NetBadge access.
- Click on "other academic" drop down menu
- Choose Transcript: View Unofficial
- Choose Advising Transcript as Report Type
- Click View Report
- Your Unofficial transcript will be presented as a PDF document
Go to the SIS Portal and click on SIS Login (You will be required to login using your virginia.edu email (NetBadge) credentials.
- Click on "other academic" drop down menu
- Choose Transcript: View Unofficial
- Choose Advising Transcript as Report Type
- Click View Report
- Your Unofficial transcript will be presented as a PDF document
Follow the steps below to request access:
- Complete the online Request for Electronic Access to your UVa Academic Record form.
- Provide your signature via the Signature Page, then fax to 434-924-4156 or scan and email to ureg@virginia.edu.
Your request will be processed within two business days. Once your NetBadge has been activated, you will receive a confirmation email providing you with your NetBadge log on information.
This information will be sent to the email address you provide on the Request for Electronic Access form.

Requesting Your Transcript
We are unable to accept transcript requests by telephone, fax, or e-mail. You may request your official transcript in three different ways: online, by mail, or in person in the form of:

1. Online via National Student Clearinghouse
Current and Former students with NetBadge access
Request your transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse.
(You will be prompted to enter your NetBadge credentials.)

- Complete the online Request for Electronic Access to your UVa Academic Record form.
- Provide your signature via the Signature Page, then fax to 434-924-4156 or scan and email to ureg@virginia.edu.
Your request will be processed within two business days. You will be notified by email when your NetBadge account has been activated and is available for your use. This information will be sent to the email address you provide on the Request for Electronic Access Form.

2. By Mail
Complete and sign the Transcript Request form Or
a written signed request (by the student).
Written request with the following Information:
- Student full name while in attendance
- Current name (if applicable)
- Student ID Number or Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number
- Date of graduation or last date of attendance
- Date of Birth
- Complete mailing address(es) where the transcript(s) are to be sent. Please verify the correct mailing address with the intended recipient prior to placing your order.
- Phone number and email address where you can be reached
- Student's signature (Transcripts can not be released without the student's signed authorization.)

3. In Person (Be prepared to show a valid photo ID!)
Come to UREG (Office of the University Registrar) in Carruthers Hall during regular business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, except Wednesdays, 9:00 to 5:00. We are located at:

Transcripts can be printed while you wait or you can submit a request to have them mailed to a third party.
