Inst 276: Find Your Place in the World
Friday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00 in the Mary Munford Klazroom (The North Lounge).
We live in a great world filled with possibilities. This class will have you explore your personal, social and ecological foot print as you find your place in the world. In this class you will be introduced to a personal practice of mindfulness, share experiences in nature and explore information and resources to enhance your connection of community as you find your place in the world. Class meets Fridays from 2-4pm. Limited to 15 IRC students. First years encouraged to sign up. Instructors: Brad Brown, IRC Principal, Marga Odahowski, IRC Director of Studies, Noah Egge, Resident Scholar.
2 credit hours, credit/no credit. Enrollment limited to 15 IRC students. This class counts as "outside" the College (as non-liberal arts); and College students may include no more than 3.0 credits among the 120 required for the B.A. from the College. This class is restricted to students living in the International Residential College, and by permission of instructor. Course action forms may be obtained from Jill Napier in the IRC Office. Students are required to attend class regularly and to participate in class discussion. If a student misses more than two classes, no credit will be granted. Questions may be directed to Brad Brown at 924-3232 or bradbrown@virginia.edu.
