Inst 224: Think Globally, Act Locally-World Wide Environmental Issues
Friday Afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the IRC Fishbowl/Conference Room.
The object of this course is to explore environmental issues in a global context. Issues covered will include global warming, air pollution, water pollution, deforestation and ozone depletion. Potential solutions to global environmental problems will be discussed, including renewable/alternative energy, recycling and sustainable resource management. This course will provide a basic understanding of the science behind these issues while tying them all together with a framework of global politics and awareness of current events.
