TRANSFER STUDENT HOUSING OPTION

Staff Program Communities Single Student FYE Prgram

Residential Program for New Students (Undergraduate Transfers)
As a transfer student, you can request to live in the Gooch/Dillard houses when you accept your offer of admission.  Gooch/Dillard, located on central grounds across from the football stadium and the Aquatic Fitness Center, offers approximately 600 single bedrooms in suite arrangements.  Due to the high demand for Gooch/Dillard by upper-class students, we can only guarantee this housing option on a first-come, first-served basis as long as space is available.

The Residential Program for New Students in Gooch/Dillard is designed to support transfer students through their first-year at UVa.  It is staffed by Resident Staff members from the Residence Life Office, and supported by the Transfer Student Peer Advisors from the Office of Orientation and New Student Programs.  The Resident Staff Program (RAs) and the Transfer Student Peer Advisor (TSPA) Program coordinate events designed to initiate interaction and involvement for transfer students.  The Gooch/Dillard community provides an opportunity for you to not only interact with new students whose experiences are similar to yours, but to also get to know other upper-class students who can help connect you to UVa’s academic and social life.

Remember, space in this program is limited, so be sure to apply to live in Gooch/Dillard when you accept your offer of admission, or check out the other upper-class housing options. Link to assignment process
