Rotunda Hours and Information:
The Rotunda is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The entrance is on the south (Lawn) side, lower level. For more information about visiting the Rotunda, please call 434-924-7969.
Historical tours are offered free of charge and meet daily at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. in the Rotunda’s Lower East Oval Room. During the academic school year, one hour tours are given by the University Guides and include both the Rotunda and the Academical Village. During the summer, the Rotunda Guards provide 30 minute tours of the Rotunda’s interior.
No reservations are required for smaller groups and groups of 15 or more may request a tour from the University Guide Service. Foreign language brochures are offered at the Rotunda and, with advance notice during the academic year, visitors may request a University Guide fluent in Spanish, German, or French. Rotunda tours are wheelchair accessible and interpreters for the hearing impaired are available with advance notice.

Rotunda Reservations Update:
The current phase of Rotunda renovation work will continue through May 2013, and the timeline may be extended if any unexpected complications arise. Throughout the project, every effort will be made to keep the Rotunda open to the public.
Due to the ongoing construction work, the Dome Room of the Rotunda is not available for bookings prior to May 31, 2013. The Rotunda's other rooms are currently available for events, but please factor in the potential for noise and disruptions resulting from the renovation project.
We are currently accepting summer reservation requests (June 1, 2013 through August 26, 2013) for the Rotunda, including the Dome Room.
Rotunda reservation requests for Fall 2013 may be submitted for placement on a first-come, first-served waiting list. Once the timeline for the next phase of construction is set, these requests will be reviewed and confirmed pending the construction schedule and room availability.
