About Institutional Accreditation

Every 10 years, the University undergoes an extensive reaffirmation process according to the guidelines and principles established by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges ("SACSCOC" or "the Commission"). The University completed its most recent reaffirmation in 2007 and is undergoing reaffirmation which will complete in 2017.

In between decennial reaffirmations, the University is required to submit a Fifth-Year Interim Report. The University submitted this report in March 2013. In June 2013, the SACSCOC Board of Trustees accepted the University's Fifth-Year Interim Report, without recommendation.

SACSCOC publishes its accrediting standards in Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement.
