The Russian House is designed to accommodate up to 6 students plus a resident director (two double rooms and two single rooms). At 102 Cresap Lane, the House is located very near the Library, Newcomb Hall, Memorial Gymnasium, and Central Grounds. A mixture of graduate students and undergraduates, some of whom are native speakers of Russian, live in the House. The House Director is Lilia Burganova Travisano. The House is furnished with a TV and VCR and a small library of useful books (dictionaries, etc.), The House has become a center for engaging cultural activities, including a Russian tea and conversation hour one night a week. In sum, the Russian House provides a congenial atmosphere for the pursuit of Russian area studies. Applications
