from weekly conversation hours to film screenings and evenings of poetry
and music
- Subscription to foreign-language publications
- Supporting special collaborative events, including the recent exhibition
of modern Russian children's books at the University of Virginia library
- Providing travel funds enabling students and faculty to participate
in academic conferences or conduct scholarly research in distant locales
