Teresa A. Sullivan, a leading scholar in labor force demography and former provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of Michigan, took office as the University of Virginia's eighth president on August 1, 2010. Dr. Sullivan is the George M. Kaufman Presidential Professor of Sociology at the University of Virginia.
