Span-majors@virginia.edu & majors-ital@virginia.edu-
Span-majors is the e-mail list for Spanish majors & minors. Majors-ital is the e-mail list for Italian majors and minors. These lists are meant to serve two purposes:

• They allow members of the Spanish Dept, either faculty or TAs, to get in touch with Spanish majors and minors and Italian majors and minors, about official and semi-official business of interest to all. For example, they are used by the Director of Undergraduate Studies to announce changes in advisor assignments.
• They allow Spanish majors and minors, and Italian majors and minors, to communicate with each other for purposes in some way related to their study of or their interest in Spanish and Italian. For example, they can be used to look for people interested in forming Spanish and Italian conversation groups, to solicit people's opinions about foreign-study programs, or to strike up conversations about anything related to Spanish, Spain, Latin America or Italy. Just remember that the rules which govern usage of U.Va. email accounts also apply here. Note, however, that faculty and TAs have not been invited to form part of these lists, and will not receive copies of anything posted to them.

Participation in this list is VOLUNTARY but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
