This course offers an in-depth study of contemporary trends in criticism, including Marxist criticism, psychological criticism and psychoanalytic theories, Russian formalism, New Criticism, structuralism and semiotics, poststructuralism, feminist literary criticism, reader-response criticism, New Historicism and cultural studies, and gender studies.
