The Department of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese's faculty has wide-ranging expertise in peninsular literature; Latin American literatures and cinema; Portuguese and Brazilian literatures; Italian literature and film; and women's, cultural and comparative studies. In addition, the Department regularly invites renowned visiting professors and authors.

Staff

The Staff in the Department supports faculty and students in several capacities, including fiscal administration, computer support, and graduate and undergraduate support.

Graduate Students

Besides pursuing graduate work toward their Master's and Ph.D. degrees, the graduate students in the Department receive solid training as Teaching Assistants and teach a variety of language and culture courses.
