Cancellation & Inclement Weather Practices

Thank you for your interest in OSP’s education and outreach offerings!

Currently, OSP provides free workshops and courses to those interested in increasing their knowledge of sponsored programs administration. These offerings often have a high demand. Once enrolled, it is your responsibility to inform us of the need to cancel your attendance. By so doing, others who have an interest in attending may be accommodated.

Before you enroll, please review OSP’s Cancellation and Inclement Weather practices (below).

We appreciate that scheduling demands or weather events may necessitate canceling an event or your prior enrollment.

Cancel your enrollment at least, four (4) business days prior to the offering date.

You may cancel by accessing the Integrated System Self Service feature. Follow these steps:

• From the Learning Management Home page, locate the desired class from the Individual Enrollments table.
• Select the Un-enroll icon.
• Select Self Cancelled from the New Status drop-down list box.
• Select the Finish button.

Cancellation of OSP Offerings:
OSP reserves the right to cancel any educational offering for insufficient enrollment or other reasons. It is the intent then to reschedule that offering as soon as possible.When possible OSP will contact persons enrolled in any event to be cancelled at least four (4) business days prior to the offering date.

Inclement Weather:
If the Academic Division of the University is closed due to weather conditions, then any scheduled OSP education and outreach activities are cancelled.

If Albemarle County schools are closed due to weather conditions, then any OSP scheduled education and outreach activities are cancelled.

If Albemarle County schools are opening late due to weather conditions, then any OSP education and outreach activities prior to 12 PM (noon) are cancelled. Afternoon classes will be held as scheduled.
