For security reasons, the log is behind Netbadge. Simply enter your University ID and Netbadge password to gain access to the log.
The document log contains all award actions, as well as actions related to Non-Disclosure Agreements and Material Transfer Agreements. The log does not contain information about proposals.
The document log is searchable by the following criteria: Principal Investigator, Department and Sponsor. Simply use the drop-down boxes to find what you need.
You may export the document log to Excel, which will enable you better to sort and filter according to your needs.
Log actions are completed by OSP staff and those are reflected in the log in real time. You should be looking at the status of your award item as it currently exists.
If an item is complete, you should see it reflected as such in the appropriate place in the log. Completed items will remain on view for approximately six months after completion, after which time they will be archived. Incomplete items will remain in the log until they are completed and then for six months thereafter.
If an item is not complete due to incomplete paperwork, OSP staff are instructed to insert a comment to that effect.
Under normal circumstances, turnaround times for most items should be minimal, assuming that paperwork is complete and award terms are acceptable.
OSP staff are instructed to use common and consistent abbreviations and acronyms when completing log entries.
Please direct any questions about your award item to the administrator listed in the log. Please direct any other questions to Rod Waterman in the Office of Sponsored Programs (rcw4e@virginia.edu 4-3868)
