Yellow Fever Vaccine Shortage
Student Health supply of yellow fever vaccine is limited due to a national shortage. Yellow fever vaccine may not be available at your travel clinic appointment. However, efforts will be made to schedule a return appointment when vaccine is available. Yellow fever vaccine, and other travel vaccines, are only available by appointment through the travel clinic.
2014 Flu Season
Flu season is upon us at the University of Virginia and City of Charlottesville. Flu (or influenza) typically causes fever, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, cough, body aches, fatigue, and potentially diarrhea and vomiting with symptoms lasting about seven days. The good news is that there are some easy steps that students and staff can take to avoid getting, or spreading, the flu.
