- This
treatment will be performed for HPV-related disease if it is the
only way to treat an extensive precancerous lesion (rare) or as
part of treatment for a cancer.
- The
uterus is surgically removed.
- This
procedure is done in the hospital.
- You
will be given either a regional or general anesthetic.
- You
will no longer have periods or be able to get pregnant.
