Psychoeducational
Outreach Activities
Outreach
activities entail workshops, psychoeducational presentations, and
meetings where professional staff endeavors to bring mental health-related
information and education to the U.Va. Community for educational
and preventive purposes. U.Va. faculty, administrators, and/or students
may request specific presentations. CAPS staff also initiates outreach
activities when they are deemed to meet important needs and interests
of the University community. Examples of the latter are endeavors
such as National Depression Screening Day, or presentations and
screenings that take place during National Alcohol Awareness Week.
