Health Promotion Services
Health promotion and education services are also pre-paid as part of tuition and fees. Services include educational materials, health consulting visits, special events, outreach presentations, and patient education, along with information and referral services. All of these health promotion services are provided by either professional staff or specially trained students called Peer Health Educators.
Outreach Presentations
Professional staff along with Peer Health Educators and ADAPT provide University and community outreach presentations on a variety of health and wellness related issues.
Patient Education
Professional staff along with Peer Health Educators provide education sessions for patients prior to the receipt of gynecological and medical evaluation, and regarding other health issues.
Special Events
Professional staff provide educational and information services to the University community, state and national health organizations. Additionally, the staff and Peer Educators plan and promote a variety of events focused on student education and interaction each year. The "4th Year 5K" Run/Walk is coordinated through our office.

Health Consulting
Professional, trained staff in the Office of Health Promotion offer consultation appointments for students related to the issues of nutrition, STDs, smoking cessation, and body image. To make an appointment call 924-1509.
