SLI Application Instructions
The Summer Language Institute serves a broad range of students from all over the United States. In addition to undergraduate and graduate students, enrollment is open to advanced high school students and individuals interested in learning a new language.
- Summer Language Institute Applications will be available in early January 2010.
The Summer Language Institute Applications are in Adobe.pdf format and may be completed and printed on-line. Current UVA students and high school students require information that differs from the general SLI application. Complete only the application that best describes your student status. Remember to reset the on-line application after printing so that your personal information remains confidential. Refer to the 'checklist' at the end of the application to be sure you have completed and signed all necessary forms.
About Social Security Numbers and Birth Dates on Applications
Provision of your social security number is requested to assist the University in maintaining your records accurately, and to provide you with a personal
identification number.Disclosure of your social security number is required by federal law for financial aid and to be eligible for tax credits created
by the Tax Payer Relief Act of 1997.The information requested above is for reports that University provides to federal authorities and to other
agencies collecting data on equal opportunity.This request is made in accordance with section 2-2-3803 of the Virginia Code and general administrative
