Eligibility

The Institute serves a diverse group of students with a variety of academic and professional backgrounds. Enrollment is open to advanced high school students, graduate and undergraduate students, professionals, and members of the local community.

Enrollment in English for Academic Purposes (ESL), a 4.5-week program, is limited to individuals who have been admitted to UVA or who are incoming researchers. Preference will be given to incoming UVA students.
