To Add a Course


Deadline
Before 4:30 on the first day the class meets.

Procedures
Attend class, fill out ADD form, obtain proper signatures and return with it to the
Summer Session Office by 4:30. Proceed immediately to Student Financial Services to pay. You have not officially registered for a course until you have paid for it.

Signatures Required
Instructor must sign and date form.
Advisor and/or Dean must sign for all but CLAS students in good standing with GPA's above 2.0, Commerce, Graduate Arts and Sciences and Nursing.


Record on Transcript
The course appears for credit.

To Drop a Course while remaining enrolled in other Summer Session courses


THIS CAN NOT BE DONE THROUGH ISIS!

Deadline
Before 4:30 on the midpoint of the course.
(Refund deadline: 2nd day class meets)

Procedures
Submit a DROP form with proper signatures to the Summer Session Office.

Signatures Required
Instructor must sign and date form.
Advisor and/or Dean must sign for all but CLAS students in good standing with GPA's above 2.0.

Record on Transcript
No record; the course is deleted.

Refunds
Tuition can be refunded or credited to Summer Session account if course is dropped by 4:30 on the 2nd day class meets.
Tuition cannot be refunded or credited after the 2nd day class meets.

To Withdraw from a Course while remaining enrolled in other Summer Session courses

Procedures
After the midpoint, submit a Grade Indicator for Withdrawal Form with proper signatures to the summer Session Office. Instructor assigns grade and signs form.

Signatures Required
Instructor assigns grade and signs form.
Dean signs for all but CLAS students in good standing with GPA's above 2.0.
Chair of program area signs for SED/GED.

Record on Transcript
Course appears with a grade of W, WP, or WF, as assigned by instructor;
ARCH, SED, GED, SEAS, and GEAS students may receive W, WP, or WF.
CLAS, NURS, and GNUR students will receive a W.
SCC students are not allowed to withdraw.

Refunds
Tuition cannot be refunded or credited.

To Withdraw Completely from the Summer Session and not finish any courses


THIS CAN NOT BE DONE THROUGH ISIS!

Procedures
Complete a Withdrawal Form at the Summer Session Office, then proceed to the Dean of Students Office in Peabody Hall. If you cannot report in person because of ill-health, ask the Department of Student Health or your Dean to contact the Summer Session Office and recommend withdrawal.

Signatures Required
Director of Summer Session & Dean of Students sign for all students.
Dean must sign for ARCH, SED, GED, SEAS, GEAS, NURS, GNUR, and CLAS
students with GPAs below 2.0 or not in good standing.
Instructor assigns grade and signs form.

Record on Transcript
No record if withdrawal is completed by 4:30 on the 2nd day class meets.
"Withdrawal" and date of withdrawal, if before midpoint.
"Withdrawal," date, course, and grade of W, WP, or WF, if after midpoint & before withdrawal deadline.

Refunds
Tuition and fees fully refundable if withdrawal is completed by 4:30 on the 2nd day class meets.

To Change Grade Options


Deadline
For CLAS and UNCL students, before 4:30 on the midpoint of the course.

THIS CAN NOT BE DONE THROUGH ISIS!

Procedures
CLAS and Unclassified students should submit an ADD form with proper signatures to the Summer Session Office.
Other should consults their deans.

Signatures Required
Instructor & Dean sign for all CLAS students.
Instructor & Director of Summer Session sign for all Unclassified students.

Record on Transcript
Course appears with proper grade option.
