Sculpture and Earth at Morven Farm will be a studio art sculpture course available without prerequisites and using the natural resources and landscape of UVa’s 3000 acre Morven Farm.  

Sculpture projects will be created and exhibited on site.  Photography and video will be used to record ephemeral works. The results of our sculpture making and our research at Morven will be exhibited in an exhibition at the Ruffstuff Gallery, Ruffin Hall, UVA, August 30 – Sept. 20, 2013.  This class will deal with the mysteries and responsibilities of living on and with the earth and marking our place and time in this special relationship, using ancient and contemporary art making practices
