Join Sustainability Partners to Help Green U.Va.
Come join fellow employees from across Grounds in a new volunteer organization, Sustainability Partners.
Conceived by a group of employees and endorsed by members of the President’s Committee on Sustainability, the Sustainability Partners program brings together employees interested in creating and promoting a Grounds-wide commitment to sustainability.
Sustainability Partners:
- are volunteers
- meet monthly to learn about new and ongoing initiatives
- network to share ideas and best practices
- encourage sustainable workplaces
- promote awareness of sustainability events
- work within their departments/units to foster sustainable practices, such as recycling, waste reduction and energy conservation
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. in Newcomb Hall. Individuals are invited to bring brown-bag lunches.
