Sustainability Partners Help Green U.Va.
Make a difference by joining Sustainability Partners, a group of employees interested in creating and promoting a Grounds-wide commitment to sustainability. The group of volunteers meets monthly to network, share ideas and learn about sustainability.
Questions and input are solicited during meetings, which include guest speakers and opportunities to review draft initiatives. Through Sustainability Partners employees have helped shape:
- Reminder signs, such as “Try Just One” and “Flip the Switch.”
- Development and promotion of U.Va. Sustainability Pledge.
- Sustainability training program to be offered through Human Resources.
Meetings are held from noon to 1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. To learn more, email sustainpartnersreq@virginia.edu.
