In a story in the Tuesday, Feb. 8 edition on of the Daily Progress -- "Professor alleges UVa ousted him unfairly" -- University of Virginia spokeswoman Carol Wood's comments regarding professor James R. Sofka's request for a formal hearing to adjudicate allegations made against him were inaccurately paraphrased. She said Sofka has not received a predetermination hearing because he is not entitled to one under university policy covering his job status. The story inaccurately attributed the cause to confidentiality issues.
