As
we grow older, so does the concern for
increased health problems. Though people
are living longer and staying healthy longer,
the reality is that many older people will
develop Alzheimer’s disease and other long-term
health problems, according to Timothy Salthouse,
director of U.Va.’s Institute on Aging.
Through interdisciplinary research, education
and service programs, the institute is
working to improve the quality of life
for the elderly. Full
story.
