Kennedy, Rehnquist Offer Peek Behind the Curtain of Supreme Court

PROXIMITY TO WASHINGTON has its benefits. Last week, U.Va. Law School’s Caplin Auditorium hosted appearances by U.S. Supreme Court justices on back-to-back days. Justice Anthony Kennedy was there to receive the Thomas Jefferson Medal in Law, while Chief Justice William Rehnquist delivered the Henry J. Abraham Distinguished Lecture.

‘Re-Imagining Ireland’ Brings Music, Drama

The upcoming “Re-Imagining Ireland” conference won’t all be weighty academic talk. The gathering, sponsored by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, will also bring with it a healthy dose of Irish culture, including two nights of music performed by top Irish entertainers and a two-night run of “Foley,” a one-man play starring renowned Irish actor Andrew Bennett.
