Hunter Rawlings
After 20 Years, Rawlings Comes Full Circle: Two-Time University President Rekindles His Love of Teaching

A LOVE OF SCHOLARSHIP and teaching led Hunter R. Rawlings III into the field of academia. After an extensive career in education, it was strong desire that led the two-time university president to return what he loved most — being a professor. Rawlings stepped down as president of Cornell University in 2003 and remains on the faculty as a professor of classics and history. He is now a visiting University Professor at U.Va. Full story.
