Student panelists offered a look into their own struggles and successes as they discussed what diversity means and how its effects are felt at U.Va.’s Law School. Differing views emerged: One panelist saw diversity as a racial issue while another doesn’t view race as the sole issue of diversity. Full story.

U.Va.’s Newest Neurosurgeon An Expert in Complex Spine Surgery

U.Va.’s Department of Neurosurgery is home to many experienced neurosurgeons who specialize in spinal surgeries. The newest member of the neurosurgery team is Dr. Christopher Shaffrey, who comes to U.Va. from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. Shaffrey is board-certified in both neurosurgery and orthopaedic surgery. Full story.
