U.Va.’s Edward L. Ayers Receives the Nation’s Top Teaching Award

Ayers (right), U.Va.’s dean of the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, the 2003 national Professor of the Year award, announced today at doctoral and research universities. U.Va.’s classified employees who earn minimum wage will see an increase in their hourly rate, from $8.19 to $8.37, up 18 cents. The change will take effect in the Academic Division beginning Jan. 7. The increase will also apply to Medical Center employees, beginning Jan. 18. Full story.
