While other architecture students were sleeping off the stress and caffeine-induced
stupor of their final charrettes early last spring, the ecoMOD studio at
the University of Virginia was just gearing up for construction of a prefabricated,
ecological, and affordable home of their own design. The ambitious students'
design, the OUTin House-named for its mix of indoor and outdoor spaces-required
a multidisciplinary approach to deal with budget constraints, client needs,
and the demands of real-life construction.
MEDICAL WORKER WINS STAR AWARD

is the administrator of Continuum Home Health Care, the home health agency
