Gains Two New Positions
Feb.
23, 1999 -- Robert McNergney, who earned a doctorate
in teacher education from Syracuse University in 1974, has been
appointed to serve as the 1999-2000 chair of the Technology Committee
of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. AACTE
has 730 institutional members.
McNergney,
currently a professor in the University of Virginia's Curry School
of Education, has also been appointed to an advisory board affiliated
with the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory in Oak Brook,
Illinois. The board will assist NCREL in integrating technology
in programs at teacher education-education colleges.
