Gothic Art And Architecture Scholar To Speak At U.Va.
October 29, 1999 -- The University of Virginia
McIntire Department of Art will sponsor a lecture by Pamela Z. Blum,
an internationally recognized authority on Gothic art and architecture.
Blum will lecture on "The Porte des Valois at Saint-Denis: Art History
and Science in Tandem" on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 5:30 p.m. in Room
160, Campbell Hall. A reception in Fayerweather Hall will follow
the lecture.
Blum
is an independent scholar from New Haven, Conn., who has published
extensively on late medieval topics and is a specialist on the history
of the royal abbey church of Saint-Denis in Paris.
