Virginia Board Of Education President To Speak Dec. 8 At U.Va.’s Curry School

Nov. 30, 1999 -- How Virginia schools will change in the coming century will be the thrust of a Dec. 8 talk by Kirk Schroder, president of the Virginia Board of Education, at the University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education.

Schroder’s talk, "Virginia’s Schools: Challenges for the 21^st Century," is part of the semester-long 1999 Curry Forum on Educational Issues. Schroder will speak at 1 p.m. in room 004C of Ruffner Hall’s ground floor.

The forum, "Educational Issues for the 21^st Century," addresses topics expected to be prominent in the new millennium.

The talk is open to the public without admission charge.
