Of Virginia Offers $5,000 Reward For Information Leading To The
Arrest Of Robbery/Rape Suspect
August 27, 1999 -- The University is offering
a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction
of the man responsible for the rape of a University of Virginia
student Thursday morning in her Charlottesville home. The suspect
also robbed the victim and another University student during the
assault.
The
University immediately put additional police patrols on Grounds,
as well as in surrounding neighborhoods where large numbers of University
students live. University Police are working closely with City of
Charlottesville Police on the investigation.
