U.Va. Conference To Explore Family Violence

Oct. 21, 1999 -- Attorneys, social services workers and family violence specialists will be among the 200 people attending the University of Virginia Family Violence Conference Oct. 28 and 29.

Leading experts will probe family and youth violence and child and domestic abuse at the conference in Caplin Pavilion at the Law School. They will present ideas on the evolution of violence and offer ways to prevent it. In addition, two panels will also address child and spouse abuse in Virginia.

The conference is sponsored by the U.Va. Center for Children, Families and the Law and the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and Law.

Although the public is welcome to attend the conference, a $50 registration fee is required.
