Conference To Explore Family Violence
Oct. 21, 1999 -- Attorneys, social services
workers and family violence specialists will be among the 200 people
attending the University of Virginia Family Violence Conference
Oct. 28 and 29.
Leading
experts will probe family and youth violence and child and domestic
abuse at the conference in Caplin Pavilion at the Law School. They
will present ideas on the evolution of violence and offer ways to
prevent it. In addition, two panels will also address child and
spouse abuse in Virginia.
The
conference is sponsored by the U.Va. Center for Children, Families
and the Law and the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and Law.
Although
the public is welcome to attend the conference, a $50 registration
fee is required.
