UVA NewsMakers Airs on Adelphia Public Access Channel

February 3, 2000 -- The University began a public service series on Adelphia's public access channel (13). Robert A. Bland, first African American to receive an undergraduate degree from U.Va. who spoke on "Success is a Journey, Life is a Choice" will be broadcast on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 9 p.m. and again on Friday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. UVA NewsMakers is a speakers series that provides another chance for the community to hear notable speakers and scholars who visit the University. The program, produced by University Relations' Television News Office, will begin airing weekly on Thursday nights at 9 p.m., and repeating the following morning at 11 a.m. This month's schedule is available at: http://www.virginia.edu/universityrelations/newsmakers.html
