13, 2000 -- The University
of Virginias McIntire Department of Art will present mixed-media
drawings and paintings by the New York-based artist Alex ONeal
next month. An opening reception will be held Oct. 6, from 5:30
to 7:30 p.m. in Fayweather Gallery as part of the First Fridays
shows.. The artist will give a slide lecture in Campbell Hall, Room

a week-long residency with the U.Va. art department beginning Oct.1,
ONeal will work with students and give individual critiques.
