Beattie To Read At U.Va. Bookstore March 5 February 13, 2001-- Acclaimed story-writer and novelist Ann Beattie will present a reading from her work at the University of Virginia Bookstore on Monday, March 5. Her reading at 8 p.m. is free and open to the public. Beattie has received wide critical praise for her work, which often depicts the generation that came of age in the 1960s. She has published seven story collections, including most recently "Perfect Recall" and "Park City." Her six novels include "My Life, Starring Dara Falcon," "Another You" and "Picturing Will." Among Beattie’s many honors is an award of excellence from the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters.
